artpool represented the commitment of leading companies to the independent development of contemporary artistic tendencies. The involvement of private enterprise on this level promotes public dialogue between art, science and the media. The principle aim of the sponsoring group "artpool, initiative for contemporary art" was the opening of new spaces for contemporary art in media such as daily newspapers, billboards, the facades of buildings, electronic media and the Internet.
