The first Large Scale Picture in the course of the exhibition series "urbanTension" was conceived by the Mexican artist Minerva Cuevas, born in 1975. She is quoting the French social theorist Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809–1865); the quote is taken from the book "Idée générale de la révolution au XIXème siècle", published in 1851:
"To be governed means that at every move, operation or transaction one is noted, registered, entered in a census, taxed, stamped, priced, assessed, patented, licenced, authorized, recommended, admonished, reformed ... exploited, monopolized, extorted, pressured, mystified, robbed; all in the name of public utility and the general good."
After Frankfurt the large scale image was presented on the façades of the Burgtheater in Vienna and the Vienna State Opera.
