Sivomir has lived in Vienna since 1970. After working in construction for several years, he created a new profession for himself in the 1980s: collecting and recycling the cast-offs of an ever-evolving media society. The proceeds support Sivomir and his family "back home" in Serbia. Stripped copper cables and scrap metal from collection points and demolition sites shape his public workspace in a park in Josefstadt. Despite not speaking German, Sivomir has become a local star with his non-written archive.
