MILITARY MINIATURES – THE READER’S ARMY

Game Instructions:
Do you sometimes feel powerless while reading the front page of your newspaper? Have you ever wished you could change the headline on the first page or even feature your own image there? With "The Reader’s Army", you now have a unique opportunity to transform the front page of this standard issue.

Assemble your army and fight against image and text.

Your army has a total strength of 100 points. The table provided outlines the points required for various actions. For instance, with your 100 points, you could "transport" an image from another newspaper page to the front page for 85 points, and use the remaining 15 points to "edit" a caption (85pt + 15pt = 100pt). Alternatively, you could "delete" an entire article from the front page for 50 points, "transport" a title for 35 points, and "edit" some text for another 10 points (50pt + 35pt + 15pt = 95pt).

The goal of the game is to challenge the seeming powerlessness of the reader, question what you read, and become an active participant in shaping the narrative.

We kindly ask you to send your "altered front page" in a properly stamped envelope, including your name and address, to the following address:
