Saskia Pintelon's work is a monochrome image of a young woman screaming made at the end of the almost three decade long civil war in Sri Lanka. It was exhibited at Colomboscope where it hung in space. At the time it represented the emotional relief after years of pent-up incredulity about this long disruptive conflict. Pintelon adds the caption “Yes, pigs can fly” in her characteristic, ironic, humorous manner to symbolise that anything is possible.
