The London-based artist Jeremy Deller was selected for the ninth project in the "Billboard" series from museum in progress. One-liners made up of quotes from figures such as Goethe, Schiller and Shakespeare appear on very different photos documenting scenes from youth culture and urban life. Traditional high-brow and modern pop culture flow into each other.
'Life is to Blame for Everything' (Robert Musil)
'What is life without the light of Love?' (Friedrich Schiller)
'To Thine Own be Self true' (William Shakespeare)
'Everyone has his own tune' (Matthias Claudius)
'A New Heaven is Begun' (Emanuel Swedenborg)
'Turbulant Bliss! Love, you are this!' (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
'To Live is to Dream' (Friedrich Schiller)
