Oskar Serti's Wanderings

Patrick Corillon's "Oskar Serti's Wanderings. Cartoon film in fifty episodes based on the diary of the Hungarian writer Oskar Serti (Budapest 1881 – Amsterdam 1959)"

Patrick Corillon's contribution to the exhibition series "Gap Filler" is a kind of "flip book". Accompanied by texts describing Serti's movements and thoughts, the black silhouette of a figure "wanders" from one page to another in four episodes and then turns around and goes in the opposite direction.

"Oskar Serti's Wanderings" was created in 1993 in co-operation with the daily newspaper DER STANDARD and Robert Fleck, curator commissioned by the Minister for Education and Art.
