Usually in the wings but now in the limelight: The safety curtain of the Komische Oper Berlin is the focal point of an extraordinary art project. Through an artist's concept especially designed for the curtain, the interspace of the opera becomes a lively museum space for the audience, in which music and fine art takes on a new perspective. At the same time this action marks the beginning of a new opera season.
The Cultural Foundation of Deutsche Bank has taken on once again the task of supporting the development of contemporary art in this innovative project. We put great emphasis on any project which takes us on new paths, invites new dialogue, creates cross-connections and exceeds the borders of genres and nations. We are looking forward very much to an exceptional opening!
