TransAct 36

"Evil never takes a holiday. We must be aware of that fact. There will always be icons to this evil, I fear. In 1954 or 1955, I was hospitalized in Munich in a German hospital because of a serious fungus. It was a terrifically lonesome time for me as there was no one but the nun who nursed me. I asked her 'Do you have a radio that I could listen to, perhaps to music?' She brought me a small black radio, and on it was a Nazi Swastika. It was a paralyzing experience. Lonesome as I was, I was unable to listen to that radio." Barbara Westman
