Statement by Chiara Parisi

Posters that become artworks, spread simultaneously throughout the whole city. Unexpected, surprising, a question mark in the urban space. What more could artists ask for? Seeing their work multiplied, expanded and displayed to the public in such an ideal place? The Billboard project is the first that comes to my mind in the thirty years of museum in progress. A “museum” which, from its very birth to this date, is capable of intercepting contemporary trends in challenging the orthodoxy of the “assigned place”, spreading itself into places open to a variety of audiences, always placing artists at the very centre. museum in progress, a name, the muse: a never-ending construction site, dedicated to that endless and indefinable architecture that art and poetry represent.
