Message as Medium

A documentary catalogue in the form of a hand-bound Standard archive and a cardboard slipcase for all ten Cash Flows plus text pages; layout: Heimo Zobernig; number of copies: 300.

The business magazine Cash Flow made available four pages per month as "media windows" and the Austrian daily newspaper, Der Standard, one double-page spread per month. Helmut Draxler, the curator chosen by museum in progress, selected the artists, who created different works for each medium. They were: Fareed Armaly, Werner Büttner, Clegg & Guttmann, Mark Dion, Andrea Fraser, Michael Krebber, Thomas Locher, Christian Philipp Müller, Stephen Prina and Heimo Zobernig.

The exhibition, which was organised in co-operation with Austrian Airlines, took place between September 1990 and September 1991.
