I think it's important that my role in the artwork is really only that of an instigator or an initiator of the questions – I don't want to provide the questions, I am certainly not going to provide the answers. So the line of questioning should already be in the heads of the people who come to see it. And I think the role of the artwork or the art context is just to provide people with time out to be able to let the questions bubble up to the top. (Douglas Gordon)
