TransAct. Transnational Activities in the Cultural Field

Intellektuelle Österreichs, WissenschaftlerInnen und KünstlerInnen distanzieren sich von einer Regierungskoalition mit einer rechtsradikalen, rassistischen Partei. Sie appellieren an Kolleginnen und Kollegen, Freundinnen und Freunde in aller Welt diesen Protest aktiv zu unterstützen. Wir bitten Sie, an unserem Widerstand teilzunehmen und nicht durch einen pauschalen Boykott das Kulturleben Österreichs lahmzulegen. Gerade im Kulturbereich kommen Ausgrenzung und Isolation den Intentionen xenophober, antihumanitärer Politik entgegen. Wir rufen zur Solidarität mit unserem Protest auf und ersuchen Sie um Unterstützung durch ein kurzes Statement.


TransAct-Proclamation

Austrian intellectuals, scientists and artists distance themselves from the present government coalition with a radical right wing and racist party. They also appeal to all their colleagues and friends worldwide to actively support this protest. We request you to participate in our resistance and not to paralyse the Austrian artworld with an indiscriminate boycott. It is precisely the cultural sector that falls prey to xenophobe and anti-humanitarian policies by such acts of exclusion and isolation. We appeal to you to express your solidarity and support for our protest with a short statement.

Des intellectuels, scientifiques et artistes autrichiens prennent leurs distances par rapport à une coalition gouvernementale comprenant un parti raciste et d'extrême-droite. Ils font appel à leurs collègues et amis du monde entier pour soutenir activement cette protestation. Nous vous demandons de vous associer à notre mouvement de résistance et de ne pas paralyser la vie culturelle autrichienne par un boycott général et indiscriminé. C'est justement dans le domaine culturel que l'exclusion et la mise à l'écart servent les intentions d'une politique xénophobe et profondément réactionnaire. Notre protestation est un appel à la solidarité, apportez-nous votre soutien au moyen d'une brève déclaration.

Gli esponenti della cultura austriaca intellettuali, scienziati e artisti prendono le distanze dall'attuale coalizione politica con un partito razzista di estrema destra. Facciamo appello a colleghi e amici di tutto il mondo per aderire attivamente alla nostra protesta. Vi preghiamo di partecipare alla nostra opposizione e di non paralizzare con un boicottaggio senza distinzioni la vita culturale austriaca. Proprio nell'ambito culturale la ghettizzazione e l'isolamento possono favorire le intenzioni di una politica xenofobia e antiumanitaria. Confidiamo nella vostra solidarietá, pregandovi di sostenere la nostra protesta con una breve dichiarazione.
